Time for me to stick my neck out.

Why are some posts closed almost as soon as they become rude or go off topic i.e. 'Cyprus 44 new feature request' and others are left to run when they clearly serve no purpose to most members i.e 'Guido's - what a let down'.

The title is a misnomer - breaking rule 7. There is no real topic to go off, so should be closed.

Inane comments are made, seemingly to keep the thread going or to keep it close to the top of page 1, thereby breaking rule 8 - so why is this thread (amongst others that break the rules) not closed down.

I agree, let's close this thread before it becomes yet another farce.

This thread is now closed.

Reason: Another pointless thread - aimed at the Mods.
