Has anybody had any dealings with Sadik Ozturk or any company connected to him?

Hi Pugsey,

I can see you are doing your homework! Sadik Ozturk from what I hear has a reputation for taking deposits (or more) but not completing his builds and then moving onto another site under a new name and doing it all again. Does this sound accurate?

Sadik Ozturk is a director of club hermes of lefcosia !!

This company use the same offices, computers, telephones and employ the same staff as Laren !

Club hermes have started a number of sites in ozankoy lapta and karsiyaka none of which have been finished...

It appears the theis person gets power of atourney for the land he builds on does not pay the landowner and does not complete the sites.

Hpg are very very aware of him as are pco.

At the momen is is using an atourney called Mustafa who works out of a flat opposite hsbc in girne.

Lefcosia Police have a file on him for alleged fraud but todate he has not appeared in court.

He is being sued for damages by at least one person who has bought a villa off him and has no kocan , no mains electric, no mains water ,no swimming pool and no garage despite all being in the detailed spec sheet attached to the contract!!

Hi former lawyers in lefkosia negotiated a new contrct for some of his victims over several months only for him to say NO I AM NOT GOING TO SIGN IT !!

This sounds familiar. Refunds offered then refused etc etc. If he is so well known how is he still being allowed to perate and how could all the estate agents and lawyers not have been aware of his reputation and warned us off?

Deposits have been paid and construction started now down to 2 men on a 72 villa site. Could probably build it faster myself.

Trying to find out how many people are involved (buyers that is)

What has happened at the other sites? Did anyone take over, were they ever completed?

Littlenige,

thanks for info. How would you go about completing the build yourself? Did you get in another builder, and if so do you need permission or some legal agreement?

If we find Laren are going to leave us high and dry would we be able to do this as site has not been parcelised and is a group of 16 kocans. What about the original or still landowner do they ned to agree.

The more I find out the I am confursed and the more wine I am drinking.

regards

Pugsey

What did the lovely Mr O do for you and what was the outcome.

No 5 followed by No 4 seems like a good deal. I'm sure we could arrange a kitty to finance.

Any takers???

Thanks for the prompt reponse, it does not sound like the same guy, my guys around mid thirties-fortyish and slim, he may have been on a diet. Noticed the 0161 dial prefix I see you from the NW I hail out of Greenfield Saddleworth.

If any poor unfortunate wretchs like myself who happen to be purchasing from Laren contact you, can you please forward them my details.

I always thought that Remax were a reputable company, why would they be involved with dodgy builder/company etc??

Would really appreciate an answer to this one, as we are buying through Remax.

Chris,

To be fair I have it pretty good authority they were only advised of the problem on the 25th April. We were in TRNC and were there as it happened. Our agents had advised clients/lawyers of a situation and the news naturally spread from there.

We are not REMAX clients.

There are many answers still to become clear but I think it will be a little while yet.

My advice would be to speak to them regarding any concerns and HBPG if still worried.

No taxation without representation!

So an injustiice gave birth to a country!

I feel its absolutely crazy how a very high financial contributing part of the TRNC commmunity apppears to have very little voice at all in everything?

Now there begs the question? How about an advert?

Very rich community (in local terms) seeks good looking, fluent English speaking Turkish Cypriot representative in Government to expediate several local issues of concern to resident community.

Good salary paid, commission on results. Any takers

It could be good for one's future political career in North Cyprus.

Hi Pugsy,

We are buying on a different site, have managed to arrange meet with the builder, Remax and HBPG on Monday(I wont be present but Marian has a list of the issues,) hopefully we may get a result, but I am not holding my breath as the builder is staying very quiet about everything so far.

Will let you know the outcome when I hear!
