| Could anybody tell me where I can get a diabetes and cholesterol test done and the approximate cost ?? Also do I need to be referred by a doctor in order to be able to have the tests done ??

| Hi Paul I do not think you need a doctor to refer you . You go to a labortory and explain what tests you require. The laB I used is by the Merc garage on the main road by the nicosia roundaout. I cant find my buzz book to get the number for you. I think I paid 80TL. |

I have used Erduran in Girne just off the high street near the top by Seker Bank. Like Lilli says, you dont need to be referred just call in the morning and they will do tests and you collect results in the afternoon. I think I paid similar price to Lilli. |

Your Cholestrol will have to be checked first thing in the morning before you have anything to eat or you won't get a true reading. the lab that Lilli mentioned will do this.
If you are already diabetic there is a clinic in Lefkosa Dr Hakan Sav 0392 228 2272 or 0533 861 8090 He works in Lefkosa Hospital in the mornings.

| I used Talat near Jinomer Clinic near the Girne Hospital.... very quick and reasonable costs as I remember. |
