| Early this morning 6 members of the UN were the target and are amongst the dead. These were all staying in a guest house used by the UN. It is thought that 20 UN staff are registerted there. The remaining could have been taken hostage. This latest incident comes amid the tension in the country over the first round of the recent elections. More attacks are planned in the lead up to the next round of the flawed elections. The UN are playing a role in the organising of these elections. The Taliban accepoted responsibility. A second target was a five star hotel used by diplomats. How many more troops are going to thier death. Should they be sent or the troops there pulled out and let the people fight thier own battle |

| I feel our troops and those of other nations should be in afganistan fighting the evils of the taliban because if we are not trying to contain/defeat these people they will and are exporting there violence and views on innocent people around the world. To think that by withdrawing our troops would end any problems we have worldwide and letting it become a an internal afgan problem would be extremely short sighted! if we do withdraw we (the U.K and western nations) will live to regret it. |
