I for one took our boys to the woods after school - with a girlfriend of mine (who also has two boys) and we took their dinner with us! Boys had great fun in the woods and the ladies sat on their a*ses gassing like most ladies do - oh apart from I forgot to take the wine!!!!!

Went for a 8 km. walk with ladies group into the hills to a disused mine.

Very remote above a country park & not even sheep up there but it was

lovely & no midges either. Light til almost 10 pm here & then I came home

hungry & had some food & , yes, a glass (or 2) of wine. Lovely day.

Up late and sat in the sun drinking tea. Lunch at Ezic Premier for my friend Mervyn's 51st birthday then coffee and a chin-wag in the afternoon with my friend Ruth. Evening was spent celebrating a neighbour's 70th birthday with lovely buffet and a free bar. Got home at 1 a.m.

The only downside was queuing for nearly 30 minutes to get money out of the ATM at HSBC.

Other than that it's bliss living in NC!

Yesterday - lovely lunch at Kervan Pizza Garden followed by rugby match at Alsancak Stadium, where the Pumas got drubbed 81-0 by visiting Worcester Wanderers, followed by bar-b-q in the field with entertainment by Funky Monkey (eventually - power cut just as they were going to start). Fantastic evening's entertainment - and it was my son's birthday - BRILLIANT!

I have been in work all day today but was off yesterday as we had visitors from Wales and it was my brother's birthday. Went to Lefkosa to do some ten pin bowling cos the weather was so iffy. That was fun, even though I was rubbish at it (and I mean seriously, diabolically rubbish).

Al Shaheen for a fab meal last night to round the day off.

Livethedream, I was at the Pumas do on Wednesday too. I took quite a lot of photos and you are more than welcome to see them if you drop me a line. I'm off down to the Old Tunnel tonight to see Funky Monkey again - it's a bit of a habit now!

Hi Kitty - will email you, thanks. It was the first time I'd seen Funky Monkey (two young children make it difficult to get out!!), thought they were great - have a feeling my daughter had a bit of a crush!!

Oh bless her...my mate Marion said that there were quite a few little girls who had heard about the band from parents and older friends and were very excited at the prospect of getting to see them at last!

BTW I know that you said you don't get much chance to go out but here's a bit of notice for you...check out http://www.thebigjam.com

They held one in April, it was a huge success and another is planned for July.

Friends went to the one in April and told me it was brilliant - won't be able to get to the one in July, but maybe next time.

Thanks again.
