i received a leaflet today about a new TV system which states:

'Best English Satellite system for English community in TRNC. It also states:

- No internet connection

- No monthly payment (£500 for 1st year/set up, £125 per annum after that)

- No Modules

- No Card

- No big dish

- No key update

I would be very wary of this advertisement, how do you know that after you have paid your 500 pounds, at the end of the year the company is no longer trading. Just a thought.

If this company is so confident of its product then it should be willing to accept monthly payments. If it aint, I would leave well alone.

No monthly payments. But you'd have given them the equivalent of fifty quid a month up front wouldn't you?

sounds fishy. Not at ALL. I also use it. comes through on the internet. A simple cable for 17ytl to connect computer to your tv and you are up and running. You pay £5 per month, and can cancel at any time. Try it. You can watch live tv or all the channels store for approx.21 days so you can watch at any time if youve missed something. Hubby over the moon he can watch F1 live and all the build ups.

On your computer on internet explorer go onto my private network http://www.my-private-network.co.uk .

Sign up. You can pay your £5 per month by debit card/ credit card.

1 Make sure you have enough broadband from your provider. Most people here seem to have 0.5. you need 1 gb 2gb would be brill. Contact your provider who can change it in minutes.

2. sign up to my private network. instructions are easy.

3. Once the payment is received you are up and running. Follow some simply instructions and you are up and running for programmes. We can bbc1 bbc 2 itv1 channel 4 and 5 and some others. you will see a channel called zattoo this is your live feed to channels the others are channels that store all programmes for 21 days.

have a look at the website.

You can get a lead that plugs from your computer to your tv in the shop next to mr pound in girne and you can watch on your tv. many of my friends are now signing up. not on any commission just trying to help.

msg 1-4;

I have had the sattelite from that company for the last nearly 3 years.

Thousands of channels. If you like premier league:take a pick!I even watch pay per wiev film channels.

Welcome to TRNC.

If there is a company in TRNC regarding sattelites, that is them.My family have been using them for the past 40 years.

Are they LEGAL or ILLEGAL by broadcasting those channels is another matter. They are one of the biggest importers in TRNC.

If you need anymore info or anyone else for that matter,e-mail me.

We were thinking of getting Dopi for the football but instead, for about £4pm, we added the Digiturk Sports package. Usually there are 5-6 top matches at the weekend. We watched the Chelsea v Man Utd match live, for example.

They come and go, and you lose out. Reminds me of the Direct TV fiasco last year.

As I have sad many times before on various threads, SKY is the best way. Not cheap, but reliable if you

live here full time. If you are a holiday-homer just go for Nilesat or similar package that gets you the main news channels and the odd good film,

I had Dopi installed two weeks ago. Ok up to now but we will see. It advertsised as having Sky News but cannot get this. All football matches on and thats why I chose them. They fixed two dishes and a box. Cost £580 for installation and first year then £175 per year.
