Hi, still in the UK for a few months and trying to store up a stash of stuff to watch when we move out. Although I have heard that it is possible to download films to the hard drive, can't work out how to do it (blond). Does any one know of a user friendly site I could visit - or tips on how to do it?

Download a programme called Bittorrent. Once downloaded and installed in the top right you will see a search box. Type in there MININOVA. A new browser window will open and you will see a link to Mininova. Click on it and once in type in the name of your film. If it's there it will find it. If not you will see other bittorrent sites listed on the left. Click on those and see if any of those have it. Once you find your film click on the Download Torrent. If you have Microsoft Vista as your operating system a few pop up messages asking for permission for programmes to have permission to use the torrent. Click allow. Your film will download. How fast it downloads depends on your speed of access to the Internet and how many people actually have a copy of the film. The more Peers and Seeds the faster the download. Once downloaded it will be on your hard drive. You can the make it into a DVD by using a programme like Roxio DVD Creator 9 or greater, or watch it using Windows Media Player.

If you have an internet connection with Extend, then you have free access to their MOD (Media-On-Demand) server at http://modserver.extendbb.com/ There is a wide range of films and TV series already downloaded from the internet onto their server, so that you can download onto your computer at your maximum rated connection speed - for free! They do provide an easy-to use program (Filezilla) to download the programs with at http://mod.extendbroadband.com/ There are also games and various other utilities available, again - all free. Please note: This is the first time that I have EVER said anything good about Extend...

cyprusairsoft, If you use the FTP program provided by Extend (Filezilla) you do NOT need to enter a user-name or password - I know that it does ask you for one if you simply access the MOD server via http using your browser...
