I think most or all of the disciplinary members of the Baro are not fluent in English. So don't be surprised if you get letters asking you to lodge your complaints afresh in Turkish. After all does the Law Society in UK accept complaints in Turkish?

How do I know? A little bird whispered it into my ear!

elko2/Msg 1:

At the Pia Bella 'do', BARO stated that, even if the law were to be amended to protect homebuyers, this would not be retrospective - so, as with the last government's 'Property Complaints Commission', one can only presume that this latest 'set-up' will also be another futile, euphemistic 'placebo'.

As far as the "Property Complaints Commision" is concerned I stated right from the beginning that it had no teeth and therefore if was a futile set up. I think time has proved me right.

Like if its written in Turkish instead of English ,something will get done.?

On this very forum.

"buying a property in North Cyprus is very similar to buying a property in the UK, if not easier! All legal documents are in English, most solicitors are bilingual in Turkish and English, and the legal system is based on the English model. "

" most solicitors are bilingual in Turkish and English," Except the ones in BARO?

Its another red herring.Baro and the Govt know the problem from A-Z. with or without written complaints in whatever language.
