I have been given a mobile phone and money for a new Sim card from a lovely lady in Karsiyaka whose husband died last year. she donated this to be used by our volunteer organisation TRNC healthcare.



Unfortunately the mobile phone won't charge so please if any of you have a spare phone and charger can we have it for free.

I havent a spare phone but have a couple of chargers going spare, and I will give Liz a top up card to give to you, let me know if you manage to get a mobile and I will check what chargers they are for

Unfortunately at the moment using my phone and phone number costs I really can't afford but will do it until we get the new phone number up and running. but it is all in a good cause.

Nurseawful put the number on the forum and the phone can be topped up at the checkouts in tempo or lemar. This will enable those east of girne to help without having to physically hand over a card. the credit goes straight onto the phone.

I know this is silly but I assume you have asked Turkcel and Telsim if they would donate a number of cards even phones with some service time free each month.



They might also be able to allocate some numbers which include something like 112 or 4357 (help) as the last digits.

Then we can just put you some credit on when we pop in the supermarkets, it,s only 6 lira for 100 credits, OK it dosn,t last long but if we all do it it,s going to be a big help to you,



Infact if you like and we can sort a venue, i will come and put a full evenings entertainment on for you and lets see if we can raise a few bob.

Thanks very much for that I will be in Girne at some point next week if I get a minute to myself so will call you and collect the phones then if Okay with you.

I have a Sim card but now have to go to Turkcell office to activate it as it came with a form to fill in and the instructions said so. I will post the phone number on here as soon as it is activated. Then I can have some time of as it is my personal phone that is getting used at the moment.

Johhnylee That would be wonderful if you could do this I don't think it will be a problem finding a venue. If it's not too rude what do you do? (You can tell I don't get out much)

I entertain, I do Riverside during the summer, Don,t do much due to the work permit Situation, Basically party nights, Singing ,wide variety of Artists, (Have been known to put the full white Elvis suit on ) on special occasions.





Karaoke if required, really depends on the audience, well known for my Will Young, and Louis Armsrtong.



The most recent gig I did was Ken , Lesley and Kelseys leaving party at mambo.



Would gladly make myself available, but would be looking to make you a substantial amount of funds , I think what you are doing sounds very worth while



May be I can pop along to your Friday meeting and have achat with you.
