I thought once the spinal column is severed, it's 'Good night, nurse!' as far as regaining one's mobility through any surgery is concerned - so, lopping the head off any donor, at present, must be only for practice, unless they've isolated the zillions of nerve endings and colour coded them like a telephone cable...

This can never happen, but who knows in the distant future what they will have mastered, but as Tennkoutou mentioned they have millions of obstacles to overcome first, and a thousand and one other cures to find first

Ive seen rare footage of this, one monkey was riddled with cancer and they cut his head off and put it on another monkeys body that had died for some reason or another..The monkey survived for a short period.I dont actually remember if there was movement in the body but the head was very much alive with movement in the eyes etc. How much advanced will this be in say 20 years time, Frankenstien does exsist..
