We are staying in Kyrenia area from 21 June this year for 2 weeks. Are there any green bowling clubs around? Thanks.

Simply, no. And with a major water shortage that is also another water hungry thing we can really do without.

Spud1,

The synthetic stuff just isn't the same as proper grass and it has a tendency to be very flat, with little skill involved in getting a bowl from one end to another. Now Crown Green Bowls, that I imagine Jenny was reffering to, is a totally different ball game. That is real skill. That is real bowls and it can only be played on certain types of grass.

Cyprus would do well to have an indoor bowling green its a great pass time for the retired and also becoming popular with the youngters. I did mention it to one cypriot investor but he didnt understand what it was.

Its refreshing to hear from someone that REALLY knows what they are talking about rather than someone who thinks they know.

I have been playing with balls for as long as I can remember and I have never heard of Spud !!

Hope your bowling flat or crown is more accurate than your golf !!, now I know what you meant when you said you cannot see the golf ball land a Korineum golf club I actually think some where that bad they probably missed the course never mind the fairway.

Christine on the other hand was very accurate, you would do well to follow her example.

Glad you made it home OK keep in touch.

Bowling........... sounds like a good idea.

I don't play myself but I would guess it would be a great social event.
