Calling all muso's -

Every Tuesday i host a buskers type night, an opportunity really, for anybody who plays an instrument or sings, in fact anything really. The night is becoming a great place to play, meet or just watch other performers do some live entertainment, anybody is welcome. Guitarists, singers, banjo player, penny whistler, mouth organ or whatever, get yourselfs along and do ya stuff! - P.A , mics, guitars, bass guitar provided.

I normally start the night around 8:30pmish and carry on untill 11:30pmish

If you want any information please pm me, Thanks.

How do we find you, Chris?

Do you allow inferior guitar/vocal renditions of Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson? - If not, I'd better call the whole thing of!

Hi Tony, yes Hoots open music night is definately on tomorrow (Tues) evening, Chris and Ed start things off around 8:30 ish. There is no 'in house' drum kit available but hopefully this will not put you off coming along. Hope to see you there.

We will be there, if there is ever a need for percussion I would be happy to bring my electronic Roland and speakers along sometime if this become a regular for us, assuming there is space available.

Yeah mike, it's a really good night up at hoots - new people all the time coming along to play - ive been inspired to learn some slide guitar - looking forward to some electronic drums next tuesday, the good thing with electronic drums is you can control the volume so it will still be a mellow night - see you next week

Good tambourine playing by the way 'Elkiton' - where are you guys from, never got a chance to speak much last night - Chris

Oh no, just as I had made up my mind to bring my box up and have a jam it has now turned into a Christmas extravaganza. Perhaps see you in the new year.

Hi Sandancer,

Chris, What a neat evening, a wonderfully eclectic collection of music from folk, country, blues to your fabulous session with guitar and bass. Nice to meet muso's that take their music, but not themselves, seriously lol

Yep, will be there with the Roland and its PA on Tuesday, any other percussionists ( I say the P word tongue in cheek as the synth has gongs and all manner of (as yet) unused timbale) are welcome to have a play...the tambourine is not bad but the real one you kindly let me to use is better.

Diana and I, and Mike (old sod with the pony tail and slide) & Barbra are quite a way away, over the other side of Girne in Bahceli. My place backs onto empty valley and last year we had several neat jams as we can make all the noise we want, like 300watts of it for the singer alone!

See you next week.

Thanks 'Elkiton' - it was great to meet you guys, im really looking forward to hearing the electric kit - i play a bit drums myself so might get a chance to have a jam playing the kit - shame you live so far away, let me know what time you plan to get there and we can get a decent sound check sorted. I'm normally at hoots earlier then i was tuesday but don't mind getting there earlier to have a jam and get the sound sorted - let me know mate

Hi Chris, After chatting to a couple of the guys I was hoping to come up around 11 am Monday for a knock around when your "serious" stuff was done with. I will bring the kit up then and if it is ok with your kind landlady I will leave it there against the wall until Tuesday night then take it home after the jam. As for using the kit yourself? Well Diana thought from your excellent bass playing that you were probably good on the "sticks" as well so of course you are welcome to have a go. Re the sound check, if we clear that on Monday we are still happy to come at whatever time on Tuesday you feel is appropriate.

best regards

Great night yesterday at Hoots, the impromptu blues jam session at the end of the evening was really hotting up!

Eddy, thanks for inviting me to accompany you on the drums, enjoyed it muchly...... i have looked at the Clash video of "should I stay or should I go..." and although punk is not really my scene I would like to try it out with you next time you are there?
