| Dont seem to be as many Police around doing spot checks since UBP got in.. Were are they all, im in the girne area. Personally, im glad.. |

| Past 2 weeks (for 1 day only!) the Police have had roadside checkpoint set up opposite Seveners restaurant on the Girne-Alsancak road. But seemed to me to be only pulling in big vans and dolmus's!
Bet they won't be there his week if it keeps on raining!! |

| Yep we got stopped there 3 weeks ago, OH was breathalised & luckily as he had had only 2 beers, then all was well & we were sent on our way. That was at the main roundabout around midnight & they had all entry/exit roads covered. |

| I was stopped near Punjab at 10.30 pm last Sunday evening by Police. I was asked if I had been drinking and I said I'd had 1 wine. The Policeman joked 'What 1 bottle' so some do have a sense of humour. I have noticed also the decrease in checks. Maybe they will be out in force when the Salary jar is low. |
