Is it necessary to hose down garden paths between storms with mains water? Is there any logic to this?

None whatsoever as the rain will come and wash it away and then the next day the mud will be back again, not worth trying to keep the mud off, if you get a dry day then sweep the mud away, that way you dont waste water

Totally agree Smithy, if only I could upload the short video I took yesterday of a TC woman hosing down her entrance with mains water while the rain was still in the air! She was not happy with me standing in front of her garden gate with my camera phone, but I thought what the heck if she calls the police I assume she would be in trouble.

Yes water is in short supply in cyprus, and find it unfair that some areas get water all the time and other areas dont get hardly any.....

But why would the TC women be in trouble with the police for using the mains water to wash her paths or water her garden etc, she is on a water meter, as is every household...so she pays for what she uses......

In some areas like Lapta it is illegal to use the mains water to hose down cars, gardens, driveways and top up your pool. On the other hand maybe this lady was using water from her well!
