The water in the Karpaz area is hard something we are not used to coming from West Yorshire - where it is the complete opposite - soft.

Is there something you can to add to the water in your storage tank to remove or neutralise some of the chemicals that cause the hardness?. We have had to have a hot water pipe cleared already as it became blocked.

Any hints and tips would be appreciated or is it something you have to live with!

The owner of Esentepe hotel may be able to point you in the right direction, his name is Glen, I know he has someone who does filtration systems so it might be worth a call

Brigg,

I have posted a few times:

Puta 1/4 of a small vending cup of sodium bisulphate (the acid you put in your pool to reduce the ph) in a 2t water tank every 3-4 weeks (if in full time use)

Check the bottom of the tank the first time, all the white stuff on the bottom is the free calcium that drops out of the water.

After about 4-6 months the calcium will have gone, so will the calcium in your hot water tank, washing m/c, dishwasher elements, insdie of combi etc.

Your water will also be much softer (obviously as the calcium is dizolved).
