Just a note 2 warn you it seems the polis in Esenteps has told people doin taxi runs south that they are been gettin watched and r going to charge them and impound there cars if they do it again, 2 already i think and more 2 come

Can anybody verify it

I am a policemen in Esentepe and my cousins and brothers want to do the Taxi runs illegally and they is allowed cause they is locals, you is not here to make money we is and we will milk ya for every YTL we can.



P.S we have two cars in the compound both under three years of age and available at between 6,000 and 15,000 GBP depending if you a a relative or a foriegner!!!



"Goose and Gander" does not apply in the TRNC.

Simbas,if you click on the user name you get the profile of the person,look at the name and read it backwards....



Anyway I was one of the people stopped,warned that I had been spotted at Larnaca and if I wanted to be a taxi then I had to apply to the government for a license,despite me saying I was only picking up family and friends he still said it was illegal,all very friendly and was warned of the consequences.

No problem from me,I'm not here to step on peoples toes and cause conflict but I only know of Cemal in Esentepe and Ahmet in Bacheli who are licenced taxi drivers.Does anyone know of any others please with email addresses I can pass on?

Been doing runs Larnaca to Turtle Bay for over a year now nobody ever asks any questions, day time 100ytl after 6 pm 150ytl loadsa work and no tax, just buy a merc, fake tan false tash and a roof light, have to learn how to drive like a nutter and have bad breath, and your away.

Are they seriously saying it's an offence to pick up friends or family for no charge in the south, and if you do so it makes you a taxi? The sooner the TRNC is abolished and the corrupt lowlifes running the show thrown out of power, the better.

May I ask a serious question please, if you dislike so much about TRNC, feel that it is an illegal state run by corrupt officials, have such a low opinion of the British who have bought here and take great pleasure in insulting them, why do you choose to own a property here, irrespective of whether it is GC or TC owned,do you actually get any pleasure from having the property ?
