Kordeza Zhelyazkova reportedly went into labour during her marriage to the child's father, 19-year-old Jeliazko Dimitrov.



It is reported the bride-to-be was still wearing her wedding dress when she arrived at hospital and gave birth to a healthy 5.5lb baby daughter, Violeta.



Zhelyazkova, thought to be the world's youngest mother, told the News of the World that she would not play with toys anymore as she has "a new toy now".

Her husband faces 6 years in jail for having sex with a minor! My god he is nothing more than a paedophile and what kind of parents would allow this and as for the guy who actually performed the wedding ceremony!

Just about nothing surprises me any more , a baby having a baby ! what next . Apparently the Dr that delivered her baby said , she had delivered babies of 12yr olds but never as young as 11yrs . Hello ! Are the authorities doing anything about this ??? practise , or is it because they are gypsies and that they have their own {questionable imo }culture . Apparently it is accepted in their culture for 12yr old to marry !!

Parents were in Spain, working. She lives with her nan. But although she is only 11 a lot of girls in her area have babies before they are 16. The age of consent is 14. What a shame, she will have no education.

If this had been any where else in Europe the headline would have read



" 19 year old Paedophile arrested for having sex with 11 year old child".



She states in the interview in News of the World that she didn't know this was how she would get pregnant. It seems to me and this is only my opinion, if she lives in a place where the norm is children aged between 12 and 15 years getting pregnant, she had probably seen others copulating in the open! Or else the families allow this to go on under their own roofs! So maybe didn't know all the facts of life but enough to know what was going on.

It is time the authorities of that country stepped in and stopped thi,s 11 years old this week maybe 10year olds next week where will it all end?

I read she lied about her age to the man as she fancied him, sounds to me like she had experience which suggests it is learnt from her environment.

Hi all,



This is their culture and has been happening for generations, I know we think it is appalling and that she is just a child but we should learn to be more tolerant of other cultures and countries ways and should not try to change them. After all who are we to judge, we have kids in the UK giving birth at 12 with all the sex education and publicity in schools and it is not part of our culture. What is it with the British, do we really think we know best all of the time?

It used to be the "Norm" all over the world to have children what we would call very young as we all were dead well before we could reach what is now called the menopause

We are now so enlightened we push things and put off having children we must have our Careers first and then around the age of 30 see if we can have Kids then wail and moan when we cant.

While is the western world 11 is far far to young to have a baby perhaps in this girls culture it is not? as they have an age of consent at 14 !! and we in the enlightened UK do have girls of 14 giving birth.

Now those that should know say the best ages to have a child are between 20-25 yr old so to follow this many have not yet left university until 21 with a bachelors degree 23-24 if a two yr Masters is undertaken or at least 26 if a doctorate is undertaken so they are the choices, although we now live much much longer average age now 80 odd our biological clock stays the same
