Hi All,

The current talks started in September 2008,and i wondered if Talat and Chrisofias had actually agreed on anything yet,

Paul.

Hiya Paul According to todays Cyprus Todat Mr Talat has admitted that the chance of winning peace in 2009 has passed. He is calling for alternative solutions to be considered.

Hi Paul

Apparently, they agreed on having light blue cups to drink their tea in, however, Talat had a preference for a yellow stripe and Christofias little pink squares

Not really

cyprus-mail today. Christofias said yesterday they are not yet ready to discuss property - perhaps the thorniest issue of the Cyprus problem - in depth.

The two sides are discussing who would have first say on what happens with private property: the rightful owner or the current occupant.

They met for 2 hrs yesterday and meet again on Friday afternoon.

No.

We are not against our president trying to reach a solution he is not ridiculude like Christofias. İts just behind the scences we have no confidence he will succeed in persuading the RoC to make concession. As they believe they have the moral high ground and the backing of the EU. No nothing has been agree apart from some enviromenatal stuff all window dressing...

Friday it is then, property being the issue "the thorniest subject" i understand.Seems to me that all the subjects are thorny as no solutions seem to have been resolved,

Paul.
