Sporty, I meant my post # 3. I saw no other way to ask Bill for an urgent reply to my mail. But I admit my post is out of order and probably against several rules. My humble apologies.

I would imagine that with Rates being higher in TR/TRNC than UK, even if they would, they would charge you a very high rate!

The way i look at it if the trnc say that property is safe then loans etc should be an option ie remortgage, loan against property and so on, whats the problem if it so safe there is money to be made.

I beleive that you can raise money against your proporty with the koop bank, but certain conditions must be met and the max time is 5 years. The property must be mortgage free and the kochan must be in your name. There is also the problem of being a citizen as well. Hope this is helpful.

Go on, go for it. It could interest a lot of people.

Try phoning a few of the Banks that regularly post on here offering their English speaking services.

Or try a UK HSBC, tell them their nearest branch is Girne and you'ld be happy for them to do a valuation??

I think you will find you need a kimlik card to get finance on a property, or a work permit to prove you can pay i think

if the orams case goes the wrong way you could always get as much as you can out of the bank on your property, then leave the bank holding the baby!
