RE msg 6, SuperMaids: (...) Thanks Dutch Crusader is that hotel still open??? (...)

=> The Chateau Lambousa was closed two, three years or so ago, although there are still some activities in the theatre. The Celebrity Hotel is open, as far as I know.

Ruth and Tony from the Filling Station do wonderful quiche. But be prepared to get there early as they sell out quickly. Try their home made Steak and Kidney pies as well the are brilliant, as is all their food.

I think it was in Cyprus Today, about 3 years ago. The owner of Celebrity and Chateau Lambousa said that he was closing the hotels, because he wouldn't run a 5 star hotel in a 1 star country. Seemed a bit extreme but you've got to admire the man's principles, even if you don't agree with them. Which I for one, don't.

The lady at the hut in Lapta makes lovely quiches, best pastry I have had here and lots of different fillings. I think she will make one for you if you give her notice.

Thank you Helen for the compliment and to anyone looking for quiche I will be at Karakum Market again on Sunday. Usually I make Leek & Mushroom, Cheese & Onion and Broccoli quiche but can do any filling if you wish to order in advance. Only 12 tl for a 7in flan.

Also doing Cornish Pasties, Egg Custard, Apple Pie and Pate.
