Dogs: Looking for good homes for two five year olds

We are renting our villa from December 17th and will be travelling a lot. We have rented on the basis that the tenant will look after our two dogs, but with an uncertain longer-term future, we would strongly prefer to find a new home for one or both.

One is a larger, brown, fun loving game player.

The other is a smallish, Cyprus Terrier, that is more timid and needs lots of affection.

Both sleep indoors at night and both will bark at strangers.

We have plastic kennels and dog baskets. We feel our dogs would settle well if seperated. Pictures available.

Why take them in the first place. Dogs have feelings you know. How can you ask others now to look after your pets beggars belief x

We have looked after these two for 5 years with care and affection. It is the most difficult decision we have had to make in our time here. It is precisely because we are responsible dog lovers that we are trying hard to do the best thing for them. Its easy to snipe...

reg55 im so sorry i was so hard on you but lost a dog today so feeling really sad. Im so soory should think with my head not my fingers. gOod luck its so hard to get them homed. I still want two pointers homed. I cant stop crying xxxx

Thank you had the day from hell and still trying to come to terms with it. I wish you all the very best I want to get away from here so much but the dogs hold me back. I wish to god i did not have them but so glad of the love I have had from them. The one I lost today has broken my heart. I had him for only two months. He was near to death when he arrived on my doorstep. I loved and cared and brought him back to life for an ending like this. Im distraught. Im so sorry. Never In my life I have had so much love respect and total faithullness i loved that guy. So with all of my heart its noy east to home them unless they are puppies. If I can help call me xxxxxxxxxxx
