There were actually three Jim,

United won the league

Hull k.r. (rugby league) beat Hudders in the cup.

Hull city won away in the first leg of the championship play offs. Not very often a hat trick of wins happens on the same day.Well done to all of the above three,

Paul.

Only joking ... watched the man u game have to say Wigan put up decent show and possibly deserved something out of the game. Fancy Hull to make it into the Premiership as well, although Bristol city if they get past Crystal Palace won't be easy!!!

Paul Scholes should have been sent off for that late tackle and the ball did hit Ferdinand's arm and not his chest!

All in all Man U get away with it again with 12 players (11 players + ref !)

Kav,

yes I am a blue mate. I'm from Manchester. How ironic, premier league champions, european cup finalists, but relegated with no points in Manchester.

Only joking, the best team won the league this year.

Rangers will have more supporters in Manchester today, than Utd will ever have. Hope they don't go on the rampage......could cause around £28 worth of damage!

newlad,

I really don't know what's going on. About 3 weeks ago, City's owner said he would have a review of the club's position. The press have decided this means Sven is going to get the bullet. There has been no statement from the club to deny this, so I guess it's on the cards. Meanwhile Sven seems to be talking to anybody that will offer him another fat contract. I don't think Sven or Dr Thaksin are the most trustworthy of people. Money means too much to both of them. We'll see soon who the baddie is, but I wouldn't trust either of them.

Spud,

City always seem to let themselves down by not keeping matters like this behind closed doors.I think the way that Sven is being treated is absoluteley disgraceful. The club needs stability o.k. they had a poor finish to the season but sureley overall by their standards their final league position was acceptable,

Paul.

newlad, I agree there are absolutely no footballing grounds for Thaksin to sack Sven. But Thaksin has never said Sven is sacked. The journalists tend to make a story up if its a bit quiet. I've just read on the teletext that City have suffered a humiliating 3-1 defeat against an all star Thai eleven. Half the first team didn't make the trip to Thailand. We had three Thais playing for us in the second half, a few lads from the youth team played along side some fringe players. The reporter forgot to mention this. I think some reporters need to take a long hard look at themselves. Making up stories is not journalism.

Anyway, good luck to the reds next week, they're a lot more entertaining than Chelski. Regards, martin

Just seen our Asley (cole) receive a two footed tackle from one of his team mates in training looked quite bad and he was hobbling around due to ankle injury.

No that about sums it up ,United found there form just at the right time back in the early ninety's , thats why there now the richest club in the world if the premiership had been formed in the eighties it would have been a different story .Iwill hand it to United they do have a skill for making money that Liverpool don't have

All I have to say about people who slam Man Utd is you all really want your own football clubs to be as famous and as successful as them. If i am wrong please set me right but hasn't fergie won more titles than the years he has been at Old Trafford. Hasn't Man Utd won more senior titles than any other Uk team, the treble as in all the champions titles not the titles you win if you've been knocked out of the champions league (yes scousers dream on) when you've done the real treble please come back and boast. The comments about the faults with the game well if your a full european qualified referee, you can say what you wish if not go away and learn to be on. At the time he made his decision right or wrong.
