anybody interested in a knockout competion of rummykub for those who don't know the game it is addictive and really makes your brain work but you don't need a decree to be able to play

We would be interested, tho I have only just learnt how to play ! Also may have another 2 friends who would be interested .A great game for winter nights .



Mssg 2 its a mixture of rummy,dominoes, mahjong, I play the turkish version called Okey.

Hi well what you have is plastic tiles numbered 1 to 13 . 2 sets in red 2 sets in blue 2 sets in yellow and 2 sets in black and 2 jokers so all together you have 106 pieces . 4players each draw 13 tiles from the bag . they then draw to see who plays first . the object of the game is to get rid of all your tiles first leaving your opponents to add up the sum total of what they have in their hands thats is the basis of the game all clear so far. to start the game each player can only enter the game when he/she has a total of at least 30 on the tiles he/she lay down ie 3 x 10 or 4 x 8 for exampleonce a player has done that they are free to put down one tile at a time and alter any configuration provided there is always a run of 3 numbers IE 123 or say 3 X4 if you are putting down a run they must be all the same colours like a running flush in cards or if you are putting down or changing 3 or 4 of a kind they must be all different colours IE 1 blue4 and 1black4 and 1 yellow 4 simpl

Hey Hippo you are probably right ,if you play it the anti social way on line .We all know that bill gates is the anti christ , but the link put on by pinkchilli explains it a lot better than I can so I suggest you all look at that to get a feel for the game and then any one still interested perhaps we could get together somewhere and have a trial run ,it is actually a very simple game to learn.We (that is the royal we) could accomodate 4 or 5 tables with 4 to a table but bring your own booze, my mrs I am sure will provide a few snacky things
