Mike Re message 3

If making yorkshire puddings is woman's work what do you define as men's work??? I seem to remember having to drill, plug & fit your curtain rails a while back and haven't you just recently had to pay some MEN to do a very simple painting job???

Time you dragged your sorry ass out of the dark ages and realised we have equality now!!

Tried to find some last Sunday, no luck!! Son having a nervous breakdown because he had to have yorkshire puddings with his roast. So I though you can do this, and I did!!! made the most perfect yorkshire pudddings ever, better the aunt Bessies anyway. Not bad as the last time I tried I got rock cakes instead!

The meal was a disaster. No Auntie Bessies in Tempo.A new make called Robert's.Revolting,no other words on the Sabbath!!!Beef looked good in the shop!Worse than the Yorkshire Puds!!Stringy, grissly, even the cats didn't like.

But the Malbec red wine from the Green and Orange supermarket near Ercanwas superb.

Mike.

My other comment about a woman's work to make was made tongue in cheek!!!

Flour, eggs and milk and seasoning.. beat fast and leave to stand for as long as possible covered with a teatowel, make sure fat is pipping hot , poor in baking tin and put in a hot oven, perfect every time.

With an attitude saying 'that's womans work', tongue in cheek or not, i'd be very suprised if you actually had a woman!!!

how about making your own. I have discovered since being here, that I use a lot of my Mam's old recipes which I have not used for years. Did some beetroot last week - no vinigar - Great.

having many more 'cooked' meals instead of processed/frozen ones.

Can anyone tell me where to get some decent cooked meat before I have to start cooking that myself.

equal amounts of plain flour, eggs and water. Add a pinch of salt, blend and let stand.

Pour into tins with hot fat and bake in hot oven. For extra taste add sage 'n onion stuffing to mix.

If having with roast joint, place joint on rack and cook puddings under dripping juices.

Excuse me if I've lost the plot but this is a thread about Yorkshire puddings. There's been umpteen sightinngs of them in various shops and several recipes posted - doesn't that mean the thread has been answered and is no longer serving any purpose? Mike & Sandra's private lives should be just that - private!

Hope the moderators close this thread before any permanent damage is done!

What I would like is Aunt Bessie's frozen UNCOOKED yorkshire puddings - can you get them. I have only seen the cooked ones.
