Just had a cup of coffee at Guido's and guess what - there she was, a beautiful, young, brown and very friendly Spaniel! Well, you'll also guess what happened next? Liz Spina, Guido's wife, lifted the young dog, took her inside and gave her water and food... Guess the next question, of course? Anyone interested in this dog-without-a-name-yet..? Picture here: http://is.gd/4PwZg

Call Liz at: 05338336911 or 05338730156.

DC someone needs to take the 'dog home' sign down from the main road.

She is a gorgeous dog.surely she is just lost and someone will claim her.

Liz don't walk the dogs near Aphrodite restaurant as Cemels bitch has at least 7 pups and you will end up with them!!!

I posted about that same dog on here a couple of weeks ago...I saw her hanging around on the main road near to Guidos and thought she was probably heading in Liz's direction! She is so beautiful, surely she must have a home nearby. Good luck Liz!

RE msg 10, Tinkie: If I had remembered your post I would have added the events of today there of course. But I find it difficult - although I'm really interested - to keep track of all the lost, found and stray dogs/cats. I think it underlines my idea in this post: http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/23965.asp

There is no way all these dogs are being drawn to guidos, they are being driven.

Oh my Lord!! She is gorgeous!! I am absolutely positive she will find a home soon...i just hope she goes to a great family, as spaniels are quite popular as breeding dogs here....Liz don't fret about this one, she will be rehomed very very quickly....

Are you sure it is a Spaniel? It looks an awful lot like an Irish Setter.

Im sure there are people in the North that can give her a good home but if it was a case of her being put down then that would be a different question. Lizzes is track record is excellent at finding animals good homes and this will be no exception along with Hans help. Im in the UK at present and not back till next weekend but if you do have a problem getting her a home you have my e mail address my partner and i would give her a very loving home. By the way i think she is part spaniel and part red setter and we would call her smuggler

Back to the top - unless she's gone? I like her name "Smuggler" given to her by rdsteve in msg 20! I was busy today, didn't hear from Liz yet. Liz?

"Smuggler" is not an Irish Setter, she's much smaller. Setters here: http://images.google.com/images?q=irish+setter&oe=utf-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi and "Smuggler" here: http://is.gd/4PxFR

Hope she's somewhere safe and sound. I, too, think that "Smuggler" is a great name.

When you said "young" I was assuming it was a puppy.

If you add "puppy" to your search and try again you will understand my mistake.

RE msg 27, Jovial John: (...) When you said "young" I was assuming it was a puppy. (...)

=> I wrote young, because I (g)estimated the dog to be around 5 or 6 months old, which in my opinion is not a puppy anymore. Unfortunately there are many definitions of a puppy: "Vets, dog foods, and dog shows define puppy as up to one year. Dog show classes are puppy 6-9 months and puppy 9-12 months" (Source: Google). I'll try to be more careful in the English language to avoid any confusion. OK?
