Examples of the most beautiful doors in Cyprus (maybe giving you ideas!) can be found in a book by H.E. Rauf Denktash, founding President of TRNC, (the book is out of print but can be borrowed in some university libraries). More here: http://is.gd/4Pzni

We had some replica traditional turkish doors made for both the back and front by Ronnie's at karaoglanoglu, the number you require is 0533-8672974 (mobile)and the name Kadir.

Ronnies are on the main Girne road and on the left if driving in from our area ie Karsiyaka,

We paid just over a thousand stg, which is not cheap but the doors are beautiful.

I have pictures if you would like to see, just email me on ianchennell@hotmail.com.

regards,

scamper.

'Ronnies Furniture' have a beautiful reproduction antique set of double doors set in a stone architrave (surround) into the back wall of their showroom - a real work of art! You don't just buy the doors - they fit them and any surround that you choose. Should you wish to have your own design, perhaps from an old photograph, made, they can do that, too. So you could, but the renovation cost (labour, let alone materials!) would hardly be worth it - only you would know the difference.
