Wynyardman,

I thought the idea of going to the HBPG was to take the emotion out of the situation and give Marian Stokes the opportunity to move things forwards on a more amicable basis. You seem intent on keep stirring things up for some reason. What might that be ? Is it to be the HPBG route or not?

Hi Mustard.

You must think that you are hot stuff!!!

The facts are simple. Residents on Esentepe 1 have foregone (at this point in time) some £300K in Contractrual payments.

There is a massive shortfall of funds that the residents have to pay TWICE!

I owe the builder £2700 for ADDITIONAL extras. I offerred £3000....refused! As a gesture of good faith (unknown previously

in The TRNC. £6000.) I have withdrawn my offer and I am now suing for £6.5K. Shows how bright he is!!

The HPBG are involved, and they are helping where they can.

I am afraid that I am a contracts man. A man of my word. Let the judge decide. I have a lien on my property which guarantees

that it cannot be sold. pledged, or any other encumberance placed upon it.. I have paid the contractually agreed amount.

Times are changing for the better in the legal system, in the TRNC. Lets just hope that the good guys win!!

Note..... It takes two gentlemen to make a gentlemens ag

Well Wynyard,

you seem to thrive on personal remarks. No I don`t think I am hot stuff any more than you are an ex script writer for Fools and Horses. "Caveat emptor Rodney! " although some of your postings are definitely DelBoyesque.

Hope you get your just deserts in your legal proceedings but why not keep your personal comments to the Google group thread. That would at least give Marion Stokes a better platform to work from and obviate the necessity that Greatstone feel to keep requesting the closure of these threads.

Why is Esentepe 1, problems being brought up on Forum's, for all to read about, talk about airing dirty laundry in public, this is our problem and only our problem, so let's keep it that way.

Mustard,

Are you a director of Greatstone ? as all your messages so far on this forum are to defend them? No doubt you have something to do with them. You have only joined this forum just to defend them.

To all others, I met Wyn and his good ladyin Octoberin Cyprus and we were told all the antics and stupidity that has gone on. They have no option other that to take this lot to court. I hope the judge is up to passing judgement on what is clearly a straight forward case.

Wyn is a straight talking and truthful guy. The truth sometimes hurts.

Tiggy,

how is it that when an alternative pont of view is expressed on this thread there has to be an ulterior motive with people being asked to reveal their identity or accused of being related to the builder.

My only connection with Tash is that I bought a house from him. I may have had some issues along the way but generally speaking I am happy with the outcome. The house is in Alsancak, behind Escape Beach.

Just because Greatstone choose not to debate issues with their clients on a public forum does not stop me from speaking out if I disagree with other peoples comments. Tash and his colleagues`s communication policy leaves much to be desired and some of his clients have justifiable complaints.

However, Marian Stokes has at least opened discussions with Tash so lets at least give them a chance to succeed. If I have a personal interest in all this it is in the fact that my 5 year guarantee would dissappear along with my builder. So NO I am not Tash`s uncle!

Hats off to Wyn on this one, about time someone had the guts to shame these folk and take positive action. Looks like Wyn has given them all chances to put things right.

Only hope Wyn keeps us up to date, be interesting to see the final outcome, although no doubt it will take some time.

For info, a friend of mine has just won her case against her builder for breach of contract. Case commenced September 2008, 29 appearances in court, case completed with judgement last week. So just over 12 months in total.

So if some have justifiable complaints why does not Tash deal with this and not make peoples lifes a misery.

Instead of having to get others involved. All the man wants is his contract HONOURED....simple.

Well we have heard from the doo....gooders. I will fall in line with the mainstream..... when the builder acts like a gentleman.

We came to an agreement that I am happy to honour. We cannot agree.... then let a judge decide. Even a TRNC judge!

All we are arguing about is a bit of paper...............a Kochan........ of dubious value given the ongoing debates on the Cyprus problem.

Now lets get a few things clear.....I act in an honourable manner. I am a man of my word. If my builder operates under similar

principles...there is no problem.! As to washing our dirty linen in public......I have no dirty linen!

If The Directors of Greatstone Constructions Limited are not men of their word, that is their problem

If Tash and Taylan honour their word.....I will be the first to support the Marion Stokes initiative.

I support totally Marion Stokes intervention. It was me that asked her for help. Marions modus operandi cannot always include

everyone.

She acts for the greater good.

My issue is different. These builders that are pocketing thousands of pounds from Brits, need to act responsibly, in good faith

and within the law. I will not (as far as I am able) not allow others to be hoodwinked. I will just tell it as it is!!!

There is an easy solution. IF THEY HONOUR THEIR CONTRACTS (I had forgiven £6500 in Penalty Payments) then there will

be NO problem. Honourable behaviour works!!! Guess its their call!!

Hi Tiggy,

Good to hear from you! If the builders will not answer E mails, but only respond to postings on Cyprus 44

then....they must expect communication via Cyprus 44. He moved office without telling us, when he had £104,000

of our cash. Now as you well now, I am a man with a sense of humour, but that must raise the hackles of the most

easy going of men.

THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE..........We will forgive the £500 pcm amounting to £6500 at this point in time if he will honour the

rest of the contract, that he put his name to. EASY. Wide boys will get short shrift from this sucker.

He has my E mail wynyardman@btinternet.com. Its their call Taylan and Tashir Hilkat........

Well Wyngehard,

this thread is beginning to put most series of Fools and Horses to shame.I thought I may as well join in the character assassination as it seems part and parcel of the script.Having had the audacity to offer a different point of view I am now either a member of the Greatstones board, a member of Tash`s family,a do gooder, a character from Cluedo or maybe even Uncle Albert.

The point I was making WITH SOME DIFFICULTY (not sure why you do that)

is that your ranting away on a public forum on which your adversary does not take an active part seems a bit like Waiting for Godot. Pointless..... he never turned up either.

You may have a just cause for complaint but a dispute needs input from two parties and belongs in court or with Marion. It aint going to happen here!

Anyway. this is your thread , lets see how far you can take it before it`s pulled. You obviously enjoy the limelight.

Mustard

you call your view alternative i call them defencive

An alternate view is this

The Great stone Construction folk have taken loads of money in and not fulfilled the agreed contract so far as can be seen

now whatever the reason for NOT fulfilling the contract they have had the funds let us be clear about that.

so to move this matter on only 2 things can be done

1) great stone construction can without any further funds fulfill the contracts of the home buyers

or

2) great stone construction having had all the monies to complete the homes finding they cannot compleat the works as per the contracts cancell the contracts and refund all the monies paid to date + interest at the normal 3.5% above the LIBOR rate + all legal costs storage costs and disbusments due to the buyers who have had to either rent and put their funishings in storage in otherwords all the monies paid to them + interest on that money and all out of pocket expences due to their failure to fulfill a legal c

Wynyardman,

good luck with your quest for honourable justice. I hope your faith & trust in the TRNC Legal system is rewarded.

I only came upon this thread whilst browsing "properties for sale" and I think it is of great benefit to potential purchasers of property to be alerted to disputes with the builder: Greatstone Construction. Forewarned is forearmed! And leopards don't change their spots!

Best of luck.

Hi All,

We seem to have had the opinions of the ignorant and the offensive.

Not the way I work, I am afraid.

I have a contract that at this point in time owes me £6500. I owe the company £2700 for Pergola. Shed. Tables. I have offerred £3000 to the fund that is trying to rescue this business. As a gentlemans gesture of good faith I even offerred £6000 to help them out of the mess that they are in.( waiving the £6500 that the Company owe me.)

This crazy guy is trying to get £10.000 out of me, "if he wants his Kochan." Now that is what I call blackmail!!

I am happy to put the agreements in front of a judge. That is the reason I posted on this board. The truth shall set you free!!

I believe that it is only by people ~NOT being intimidated by unscrupulous builders that things will change in The TRNC.

I am well conscious of the views of some who.........."do not wish to rock, the boat"

I respect their views. How about others who are thinking of investing in this Company by way of staged payments?

My position is simple......If the builder honours his written word. I will contribute to the fund that intends to cover his legal obligations to the tune of £2700 (It was £6000 but there is a price, for all this hassle) In return I want my Kochan.

To answer my negative friend. I am aware that legal action will take years and cost thousands of pounds. That is the price you pay for being a man of your word, and acting honourably.. The TRNC are aware of their weakness in their legal system. and are intent on putting things right.I hope to play my part.

To my other friend who sought to discredit a legitimate complaint ( of major importance to most CYprus 44 posters) who chose

to liken the morality of this to a Del boy- esque situation, I have to say......Lovely Jubbly!!

Hi Mustard,

IT IS NOT AN ALTERNATIVE VIEW....it is a fact. So much so that I am happy to put it in front of a judge.

We all know the problems of suing in the TRNC. What alternative do we have?

The alternative view (if there is one) is for the Directors Of Greatstone, to accept the responsibilities of office and agree to hand over the Kochan having received the full contractrual payments. ( we having overlooked £6500 in penalty payments) Also stop the threats!

That simple action would allow the site to move forward, under the expert guidance of Marion Stokes, and remove the nescessity of having to communicate via Cyprus44.

It would certainly be a most welcome step forward, albeit far from the end of this most unfortunate saga.
