I am adding an entry on this forum to highly recommend this builder to anyone wishing to purchase a property in Northern Cyprus. Tash, the builder, and his equally able sister/assistant, Reyhan, will go to great lengths to accommodate any changes/requests in your new build. With the added important advantage that they both are fluent in english which goes a long way in assurance that what you are asking for is being understood. All that is requested is put in writing, signed and both parties receive a copy for their records. All I have requested has been carried out exactly. The quality of Greatstone's houses is beautiful. I have just returned from a very enjoyable two week visit, during which my wife and I chose tiles etc, and Tash and Rehyan accompanied us when required and the superb hospitality showered on us by Tash, Rehyan and all the workers we came across on our many visits to the site made us very confident that the finished product will be something we will be proud to live in. A dream come true.

Jazmin and chick123,

Amazing references that you give!

Why do neither of you give any personal details, on your profile? Mr and Mrs Incognito!!

Jazmin is it not very strange, that you are selling on this board, a car that is identical to that

owned by the builders sister Reyhan?

I am buying off this builder, and I cannot get a response to a request to a meeting with a

partner, to resolve considerable differences! Very strange!!

Hi Wynyardman,

Reyhan sold her car ages ago and now rides a scooter so I do not think that any inference can be drawn from this.

Hi flosie,

The point was that Reyhan seems to have had exactly the same car as JAZMIN.

Coincidence?

Her current mode of transport was irrelevant to the point being made!

I would be very careful when recommending a builder, some have good experiences and some have bad with the same builder.

Can anyone recommend anything over in TRNC at moment, the builders are out of control and contracts not worth the paper they are written on ?

Greatstones the way to advertise, gain back customers and restore your once excellent reputation, is to sort out your customers problems through honest negotiation and a willingness to listen. The power to do this is in your hands. Everyone on this forum waits to see how you will deal with purchasers problems. If you do this well, then people will pat your back and take note of the recommendations, If you continue in the same "bury your head in the sand way" these recommendations will fall on deaf ears. Lets see you do something constructive as having had the reputation of being one of the best builders on the island, it really would be ashame for you to lose it.

Hi all. Greatstone Construction have had the threads about their company on this forum closed. The HBPG are now involved in working with the villa owners and Greatstone to help complete the villas and secure the kochans. Any Villa owners that would like further information are invited to join a new Google Group opened by Marian Stokes of HBPG.

flossie,

the likelihood is that the group is 'moderated' - and that your application has to be processed by whoever started the group.

As all these people are volunteers, it depends on when they have a few spare free moments.

Don't despair!

Hi Flossie

As Keith says it can take a little time, I applied on Thursday and was accepted on Saturday so bear with them, you will get on.

Hi Flossie. Its quicker if you can send a message with your application saying which site you are on and villa number. That saves time verifying members. We will be delighted to get you on the forum, the more Greatstone customers we get together the better. But please be patient. We are all new to this....none of us have been involved in moderating internet groups....so all newbys. The site was set up by Marian Stokes for villa owners only to speak to each other. So this means verifying each new member. Hope to be speaking to you soon on the forum.

I woul have thought before recomending any builder you gave your name and also the date you purchased the date the building was finnshed and how hard easy it was to get the deads in your own name.

I say the last bit as I am aware through Reading that many poor souls have paid in full and moved in but 5 or more years down the line have still not got their Fully paid for property DEEDS which I have to say is quite quite wrong

Alex FOG5,

Wise words indeed.!! Bradus has always made precisely the same point.

It may help if Chick 123 identified herself!
