As much as I love them, and I do, we now have a mother cat and her 3 kittens, plus another mother cat and her 3 kittens plus one other adult cat on our estate and they all seem to be outside my door. What can I do to get rid of them? As I said, I love cats but this is way too many ... anyone come up with any sensible suggestions please? Thanks

I understand we have a family of 6 kittens under our bushes in the garden. Not happy!

hope that nobody is feeding them.

Dont leave any food around for them, we used to get loads round our pool area and kindly neighbours were feeding them until I stepped in, no food for them and they went

Hi Carrie,

Cats do not like getting wet so I keep a hose hand so that I can spray any cats that might trespass. I spray them, they go away and do not return.

Thanks folks. Next door neighbour feeds them when they are here and I keep a water spray handy. Oh well, maybe they keep the rats at bay????

Get KAR to come and neuter or spay them.

Don't leave it to someone else to do this as most people do.

I was in this situation once 2 years ago and all moaned and did nothing. I fed them so that KAR could catch and neuter them.

It was a success and instead of 12 cats after 3 or 4 months there remained only the origional ones!!

You know what they say "Actions speak louder than words".

So IF you are a cat lover ...... take some action.

Totally agree with you Tatum, Kar came and neutered all my visitors (18) admittedly only 5 turn up in the morning and evening on a daily basis the others are weekly, monthly visitors but what joy no kittens this year. Once fed they just disappear until the next scheduled feeding time. Before i fed them they were breaking into the house or going in the rear garden where we have three dogs and our own two cats. yes more expense but the street is cleaner (no ripped bags) and i can relax knowing my cats can still come in the house and the dogs aren't 'playing' with any of them in the garden. also as they are not starving they are actually hunting and looking after themselves. a neutered cat tends does not to spray

Remember that KAR will provide this service for free. Just call Elaine and she will pick them up and return them the next day neutered. What a service. Donations gratefully received at the office but no pressure on you to do this.

Thanks, if you can give me the number, but I would prefer KAR to take them. I will happily make a donation to know they are safe.
