Not entirely sure how it will work but presumably if you put your home in a trust fund (will have to ask my accountant back home) then it can't be touched because it won't be in your name anymore.

Not really..unfortunately I tend to read the Telegraph more more nowadays.. I have left wing views on some issues and right wing on others..tends to happen as you get to 50.

My understanding is that it is irrelevant whether the property is in your name or not as the Orams were sued on the basis of "use" rather than ownership. So putting your property in trust would not get you anywhere.

Hi Joe

I think message 1, refers to putting your British property into trust.

However, if the Orams were "renting" from the TRNC owners, who would be sued? The Users!

Taking this to the next stage, if all TRNC property that was sold to foreigners was leasehold, could this get around future Orams cases?

If the developer or the builder refuses to transfer your title deeds who would be sued.?
