After these recent rains rising damp has reared it's ugly head again. Does anyone know of anyone out here that can cure the problem once and for all using chemical injection methods?

The developers in Turtle bay have tried and failed three times to cure damp in a villa there. I don't think they have a clue of what rising damp is.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Tim

Tim, Be careful here....Our "rising damp" could not be cured by traditional injection methods, the bricks are far too porous to hold the barrier fluid. As the problem was a missing water barrier on the whole house foundations we had the floors taken up, the wet sand removed down to the oversite concrete and an epoxy DPC laid, new screed and tiles, and the walls relined with waterproof render. Outside we had the foundations exposed and waterproofed externally as well. That fixed it, but the cost was very expensive, however it is our home as we live here full time. Should you consider this approach, We have a pile of pictures of the work as it was done, contact me off the board if you wish to see the extent of the work.
