Karakum market information please

Could anyone give me some info on this sunday market please. Is it open every Sunday? Where is Star Bowling? What are the opening hours of the Market? Do they have any good book stalls?

Tinkie,as far as I know its open every Sunday,hope so 'cos I'm going there shortly! Its on the main road out of Girne at Karakum ,sign posted on left pointing to Star Bowling and market which is on the right side of the road. You go down that road and you will come to the market. I hope these directions are correct 'cos I've never been there!!!!!!! Might see you.

Don't know what time it opened, but have just returned and good book stalls. However, took my husband down to the library in Girne on Saturday morning and joined him up as he is continually moaning about the collection of paperbacks I have here. They have a really good selection of books and he thinks it was a good move. He has been to N Cyprus loads of times and did not know there was a library, so maybe others do not know either.

there are also some stalls selling cakes, pies , pasties and muffins plus music d v d and clothes well worth a look.
