Hi All -

Can anybody please tell me where I can purchase a wine/beer fridge in NC - they can be seen in places like John Lewis. We have a space under our sink on our roof terrace - perfect place for the wine cooler - you see we'll be too lazy to actually go down to the kitchen!!!

Hi jakki,

Last year I saw one of these fridges and the mini bar fridges in an electrical shop up Tin Pan Ally. Can I ask if you live on the Medview site?

Hi Jakki,

Are you going to live there permanantely or just holidays. Phil and I have been discussing what to leave out when we are not there or will we have to put all garden furniture fridges BBQ stuff etc indoors each time. We really like some heavy duty wicker furniture for outside but its so bulky it will be a pain having to move it indoors everytime we leave the place closed up.

Worth a thought?

Bar fridges are notoriously expensive on electricity to run as they are usually very inefficient to run. If you can get away with it you could just get a large well insulated Esky/ Cooler box and freeze a couple of 1.5 litre water bottles in your other freezer and change them over every day or two.

Hi jakki,

Tin Pan Ally is in Girne, Go down the high street to crossroads turn left and you will find it up this street. The the locals shop there but the man in the electrical shop speaks good english and is helpful. Try haggling with him for a discount if you find what you want.

Hi all -

Many thanks for your assistance. Hi Sheila - I know we were thinking about storage recently, we'll have to get our heads together on this one. Our villa is really going to be our second home - we really don't want to rent it out but if we do it will for very close friends and family only - we don't want to move out to NC permanently though - what about you??
