| i love the way this forum works for both the UK and the TRNC. Some of you will remember that I was asking for recommendations of where to eat in Covent Garden as it was my mothers birthday and I do not know the area at all.
Our day started with us heading off to Wimbledon and had a tour of the tennis grounds, if you are interested in Wimbledon or tennis then this tour is worth it and not too expensive either. Afterwards we managed to negotiate the underground (only once getting our east and west the wrong way around!) to Covent Garden and loved wandering around the stalls and seeing the live acts on show and finally ended up eating in Zizzi's! What a super restaurant with great food (we had with garlic bread 'to die for') and ambiance, would definitely recommend it to anyone.
So a VERY BIG THANK YOU to everyone who gave me the ideas of where to eat and a big thank you from my mum who thoroughly enjoyed her day.
It was then home for a big family shin dig!! |

Pleased to hear both you and your mum enjoyed the day. I've always loved Covent Garden but haven't been for about 5 years now. I also hear you brought the dreaded lurgi back with you so hope you're feeling better now.
