STOPAJ What is it ? Is it initials that mean something in Turkish as VAT means value added tax in the UK Yes its an advance tax payment but how is it legally defined ? What areas is it used in is there a formal Turkish definition that will then translate to English sorry for being a pedant on this Please if you do have the Turkish wording as well as the English translation that would be a great help

It is just another tax levied on the Seller it is normally translated as Capital Gains Tax but as it is based on the whole value and not profit it does not equate to British CGT really

Stopaj is a Turkish word not initials, the definition in the dictionary is (tax law) stoppage at source, collection at source.

Isn't this the very tax that's not only preventing business growth, but forcing so many otherwise solvent people into near, or actual, bankruptcy?
