OK negativenick how many chineses scooters and bikes have you owned then 2,3,4,10? probably none .Do you even ride ? there is nothing seriously wrong with chinese bikes and scooters ,if there is a problem it is usually down to poor PDI as for your general assumption you are talking through your bum as brands such peugot,(QMB13 engine) suzuki, honda and oh yes Piaggio are all made in china please don,t disparage a product you know sod all about

mess 11 - Scooty Baby, i have been biking for over 30 years and have had all sorts since my first Fantic Ti 4 back in 1976......

Briefly worked for Tony Rutter Motor Cycles in Lye as a trainee mechanic...

As someone who knows - the Chineese stuff ain't as good as the Japaneese stuff, i know it, you know it and anyone who knows anything about biking knows it - a fair halfway house is the Koreon stuff like Aeon, but the chineese stuff can't hold a candle to the Japs...

The Chineese stuff is cheap - i personally woundn't touch it with a barge pole....

A quick look on the internet (customer comments / reliability on....) will confirm....

Biker - i had a Honda Falcon 400, for 18 months when i was in the TRNC (sold it to Tattlad) - fabulous bike - really suitable for the road conditions, perfect balance of on road/off road, and of course, Honda "bomb proof" reliability - Harvey has a red one that i think is for sale - or you could buy a Chineese copy from Scootex..

Negative nick I never said they were as good as Jap stuff but then again their a third of the price . The difference between you and me is I can remember the Jap stuff coming on to the British market (yes thats right I,ve been biking for 44 years legally) and a few more before that, and what was said of it " JAP crap " so they must have improved somewhere along the line lets face it Nick a baby can't run before it's learnt to walk .and the chinese stuff gets better every year it must do if it wants to survive .I understand that the ZHongshen racing team is doing ok in GP as well . as I said earlier Piaggio, peugeot suzuki, honda all manufacture in China .I still ride a Honda ST1100 Pan european but I am not above putting my leg over a chinese cruiser, enduro or scooter and ride nearly every day over here .My pedigree is that I have been in the motor trade all my life have built them worked on them ,raced them and fallen off them so I still say you are talking through you bum.

Mikethebike

I have tried calling Harvey on the number you suggested, but it seems like it is a dead line.

Any idea if he has another number or if he is still around?

Hi Biker!

Just came across this thread and see that you are genuinely interested in buying a bike. I have a Honda 400 Falcon 2008 and a Yamaha XT600 2001.

The number that was posted to you was incorrect, my number is 0533 8456019

If interested still, give me a call

Regards

Harvey
