Does anyone know if there is a fixed standard price for gas cylinders? I was charged 24.5TL for a 10kg and I thought the amount should have been 23tl.

Also, please could someone let me know if there is a delivery service for gas cylinders in the Girne area?

Just like petrol, gas prices fluctuate throughout the year. I had my gas tank filled back in Feb and the price was 1.10TL per litre, yesterday when I had it filled it cost 1.31TL per litre. maybe this explains the difference in the price you expected.

Thanks minertor. We are located at the back of the Pia Bella, and at the mo do not have a car. I went into the electrical/hardware shop at the bottom of the road to price heater/regulator/gas bottle. I could carry heater and regulator back, but not gas bottle. If I buy the heater and regulator from there, I would need to get a gas bottle delivered. Presumably there is a deposit on the first bottle? I wonder if I would be able to explain this to your man.

165 TL = regulator.

We were told 229 TL for heater/regulator/gas bottle.

The price of the normal 10kg gas cylinder is set by the government . In todays Cyprus Star the government has announced the price has gone up by 1.50tl to 24.50tl as from Wednesday November 18th. We always get told retrospectively!

Thanks everyone for your replies especially Zanky. This explains why I was charged 24.50TL on Wednesday!
