hi all,



Just letting every body know, this Friday 'The Outlaws' will be playing JK's this coming Friday, playing rock/pop. We have been together for just over 2 months and been rehersing real hard and this is our 1st gig - the two guys im working with are Eddie (bass guitar), only 16 years old and has been playing bass guitar for only 2 & half months, and is already at a high standard and Ollie on drums, 15 years of age and very good (he has played with 'the old rockers and olivers army) - i would love as much support as possible as these young guys have worked so hard and it would mean so much to them to have a great gig in reward for how much effort they have put in.

Good live music in Northern Cyprus is rare to find & after the departure of 'Funky Monkey there is a big gap in the market.....please support live music and come along to JK's on Fri, i promise you will be impressed......start around 9pm, thanks

I can vouch for you, i was in the bar today, opened up for you to rehearse. Excellent, i cant wait for friday. Really impressed with you all, great music, the young lads were really confident and worked well.

Of course it isnt AJ, because people are sociable and 'nice' in there, doesnt suit most on the forum

Depends on what you call 'sociable and nice' I have not seen any of that the 2 times I have been there.

But It may be me and I apologize if I have picked 2 'off nights' but I always give bars and restaurants two visits and unfortunately it did not work for me.

since coming to the north and living in Alsancak ive found that most bars have thier regulars and tend to stick to a few bars, totally understandable because you get to know regulars and the pub becomes a place where you get to meet your friends and you know there will always be some one in you know for chat but i'm appealing to people to put that aside for one night and have a different night out, Regardless of venue, it's the bands first gig even if it's only popping in for 1 drink to check us out that would be appreciated - thanks

I heard them doing a Beatles number yesterday morning they sounded really good. Actually look forward to hearing them on Saturdays now when I am sitting having my coffee at home.
