After the latest Medieval Cyprus Fellowship lecture (on Medieval Girne and its hidden Lusignan/Venetian remains) I was asked by several people to organise another walk in Girne/Kyrenia. OK, no problem!

Date: Sunday, November 29, 2009. Start 10.30 am. Participants will receive all other details via email.

If you are interested mail me: at mcf.trnc@gmail.com (your name, number of reservations and your mobile phone number, so I can send you a text message in case of emergency changes).

P.S. The number of participants is limited to 14 (I found out that 25 is too many in the narrow streets of old "Cerennia").

Hans,

We would really like to join one of your walks, we shall be over end of December/beginning of January, but maybe then it will be too late. However hopefully you may organise some more for 2010, when we would really like to take up the opportunity of one of your tours.

RE msg 2, suffolk (and others in the UK and elsewhere): If you want to be informed in detail about forthcoming "Walks and Talks" (Medieval Cyprus Fellowship, MCF): send an email to mcf.trnc@gmail.com . Your name and email address will be added to the MCF mailing list (free) so you can check if there are any activities during your holidays in Northern Cyprus.

Dear Hans

As you know, I am not one to be pedantic I think you'll find next Sunday is the 29th? I only picked up on this because it's my birthday - honest!

Hope the walk goes well and looking forward to joining you next June (hopefully, if you are arranging one during that month). Will be sure to e-mail the address for forthcoming dates, nearer the time.

Regards.

Jean

How pedantic, Jeannie! But thank you so much! I'll ask one of the Admins, to change the date in the first post. I hope AJ, Bill, Harold, simbas or one of the other Admins will read this message...

In reply to two emails to mcf.trn@gmail.com this morning: Yes, you can book for friends with your booking - I only require* their email address, surname and mobile phone number. The reason: Last time some joker booked via a faked email address and naturally he didn't show. This meant that I said no to people who liked to participate. I now check the validity of every email address given.

* Your info will only be used to keep you updated about forthcoming events of the MCF (Medieval Cyprus Fellowship).

Hans, these walks seem to be really popular,i too would like to come on one perhaps maybe next year if you do another round, however could i not suggest that an opportunity is perhaps being missed on raising a few funds for the nurses TRNC healthcare whom you support.I'm sure everybody coming on your free walks would be more than happy to pay a few tl for the privilage of your time and knowledge and i'm sure they would be happy knowing they're helping a good cause in the process?just a thought, dont shoot me down in flames its obviously up to you what you do,i for one would be more than happy to pay a small fee for an informative walk!
