While sat in my garden I heard a very close gun fire then about 15 seconds later I was showered in Shot Pellets!!

Yes I have phoned the police.....Will they come? We'll see...

500meters!!! And NOT Towards Houses. HELLO!!

Should have said you'd been shot, they'd have come pretty quickly then I reckon. You were lucky because when I was walking KAR dogs one Sunday, shot whistled past me at such a speed that I knew I'd have been seriously injured if they'd hit me.

It happens in the UK too. I don't think you have to be 500 metres from a house here to use a gun. Our corrugated iron garage often rattled with shot when the toffs up in the woods were killing pheasants, my neighbour use to get it on her conservatory.

This is why I always use a bazooka, on the premise that it works on a 'scorched earth' effect; there's no one left to report or to take action for such outrageous behaviour!

I've been showered in shot whilst lying by pool in previous address in high Karsiyaka. Don't know how close the gunman was but would imagine it would have travelled quite a distance before running out of steam.

When we lived in Paphos, our 'concrete tent' was situated in the main hunting valley - we had hunters on the garden boundary blasting off. I lost count of the times we were showered with shotgun pellets - still, I suppose it's no worse than being showered with the usual (Cyprus) bullshit!
