Does anyone have any idea what a runaround car would cost in decent condition, could be cheaper than always renting a card. Do you have to pay any car tax in N.Cyprus, and does anyone know if car insurance is expensive?

Thanks

A half decent car would set you back £3000 for this you would get something about 12 yrs old.

Car tax is about 150ytl per year and insurance fully comp, Just under £200.

Depending on how often you come out it may be better to rent until you find a decent bargain.

It may be of interest to you that Amanda's auction in Ozankoy are now selling some second hand cars but it's a case of buyer beware, although it would be the same buying from a local I suppose

only problem you can only keep it in TRNC for twelve months, otherwise pay import tax (purchase tax) if under 3 years old.
