This cat appeared at our house in Esentepe recently,

it's a tom, and has had its left ear clipped.

It seems friendly, but our cats won't let it feed,

He's been coming about the house for nearly 2 weeks now.

If anyone recognizes this cat,

He only seems to appear at night.

Please contact me via board.

Hi deecyprus4

Have tried to feed him, but we have a tom too,

and he lets out visitor know who's boss :-(

They don't seem to fight with each other but sit and meow loudly at each other,

Not sure if our cat's done a Tyson on the others ear

or it was KAR.

Navek,

I thought that the 'ear clipping' thing was supposed to indicate that they had been neutered.

That being the case, how are you sure that it's a Tom?

Is it - erm - 'intact' ?

I wouldn't worry too much about your cats - it's just that they are very territorial. I've got 5 at the moment, and they are constantly conducting hostilities against every other cat in the neighbourhood.

I've tried talking to them, asked them to be nice , but it's no use...

Hi keithcaley,

I'm quite sure the clipped ear is from KAR,

I haven't been able to get close enough

to the cat to check whether it's tackle is intact or not.

but if I catch him I will get the wife to check for his "crown jewels"

as I've not had no practice in that dept

We have also tried talking to them, as have some of our neighbours,

"F--K Off" seems to be the most common phrase used, @ 02.30 in the morning

Didn't see him last night, so we assume he must be English trained

lol Navek, he will be back I expect, the other cats would accept him given time, just the pecking order to sort out first, when I had my cat and dog in UK the cat was the boss.

Navek,

You're probably right - most ginger cats are Toms, in fact I don't think that I've ever seen a really ginger female cat.

And you would probably know if it was 'intact' - it would be fighting duels 'to the death' with your lot! - Plus 'spraying' (polite way of saying peeing all over your doors, walls, plants etc) - the smell of an intact Tom would have you running for the Domestos!

It sounds as though it is just having a wander about, in the hopes of inveigling itself in somewhere - If you don't want it around, don't feel too bad about not feeding it, adult cats are very self sufficient, and it will be perfectly capable of catching its own food, or finding a more congenial, open handed host.

I always tell my neighbours that if they don't want my cats on their property, then a water pistol is a good investment, as well as being entertaining
