It seems like everyone on the roads today wants to overtake, I'm not sure if the holiday spirit has them over excited or if they are just worse than normal. A horrendous accident this morning around 10am near the Punjab in Lapta !



So just stay safe.

What happened Chris, I saw the ambulances rushing there but we got diverted. It looked very bad xx

As far as I could see a red car had careered of the road into the trees and undergrowth across from the Punjab. It was on its roof and definitely a write off. The police were moving the traffic on very slowly so don't know about any fatality's or casualties.

Must have been at least 40 other cars stopped and people standing gawking!

I am afraid that a young person who worked for Lapta Beledir was killed in the accident. Our thoughts go out to his family.

So sad and at Bayram too. I passed by just before 10am and at first thought the police were pulling people over there were so many cars parked at the side of the road. Unfortunately I doubt it will do anything to slow people down/stop them overtaking at every opportunity.
