I know there are many threads on internet providers on this forum but can anyone who uses Sunny Cyprus please tell me your honest opinion.

Yes. I can. Very nice owner, wife and daughter indeed. Crap connection too often, indeed. Don't do it. The best of the bad connections in TRNC (compared to Western Europe): Nethouse Networks. My opinion, your choice.

I was on Sunny Cyprus wireless and have to say it was awful, down more than it was running, but since we got adsl it has been great.

Yes, we live in Girne and have wireless connection Have been with them for almost a year and no complaints.

I live in Girne and have been with SC on a wireless connection now for 5 years. When there has been downtime of a considerable period, Terry Thomas has always credited my account - so although I've been frustrated, not out of pocket.

A friend of mine has ADSL and has found big problems with getting the Telecoms Office to accept that the lack of Internet Connection is their fault, when it has been. This resulted in no internet (or phone line) for several months while the ISP and Telecoms battled it out - both of course demanded monthly payments. SC was not the ISP in this instance. So a lot of money for something you cannot use!

SC always try to help you, they check your installation, repair as necessary and now offer a fair level of hours Customer Service by telephone/email.

No Wireless Internet Service Provider covers every square mile of the TRNC with their wireless service.

Checkout the service that your neighbours have. Take your lead from them. If they have a good service you will too, and the same goes for poor or slow service too.

When I was in the TRNC it took us 4 companies to find one that could give us the reliablilty and speed of service we required, but then again we were entering the service in its infancy. Services have improved due to investment but there are, as people will testify on this board, big black holes in the wireless coverage of some companies.
