| I found four mushrooms today in front of the south wall of the Forgotten Fourth Fortress in the Kyrenia mountain range. They were growing in very dry ground. Any expert out there can tell me the name, please? | http://is.gd/54MMA | |

| Thank you for your answers! I agree, it looks like Lactarius deliciosus (Saffron Milk Cap) and - Googled sites say - is a delicacy. Hmm. Shall I try it (I know the answers...)? |

| Hans old buddy - hold fire before tucking in.... The image isn't anything like L.Deliciosus - no upturned rim and the colour is wrong. Also need to see the gills - what colour? adnate, deccurent or free? Certainly doesn't like like a Bolete of any type. At his stage and from the limited info available could easily be Lepiota brunneoincarnata which is dangerously poisonous and has previously been found in the Gecitcoy area. If you've an image of the stem, veil and volva (if it has one) that would help. S |

| Hans - it's actually called 'An illustrated introduction to the larger fungi of North Cyprus'. I got mine from Libby at Five Fingers Bookshop. S |
