It seems that whenever a new thread is started, no matter how sweet and gentle it starts out, it always ends up in some kind of brawl...simply from offering advice (which gets misconstrued, and thought of as patronising) to inviting folk to a party..(which gets misconstrued as looking for gifts)....this is truly getting out of control! I agree that writing words is not quite as expressive as speaking words, but still, is there really such a need for getting so out of control?? Every day i find more reasons to stop posting, which is sad because i like to post, and share things, but as soon as i and everyone else says something that is a little bit off the wall, a war breaks out! I for one find this very distressing! Everyone has an opinion and everyone should express them, but really...is it so necessary to get spiteful?? I know it's not natural for everyone to agree, but surely disagreeing can be done without spite?

Don't despair, remember you can't win them all! But I agree it is unfuriating when there is a genuine request/statement to have people go off tangent and make puerile, unnecessary comments. But maybe as we come up to Christmas, the contributors to Cyprus 44 will remember the 'peace and good will to all men' and be a little gentler - if ony for the Festive Season. If not, I shall personally tell Santa not to send them the pressie of their dreams. Maybe that is why I haven't got my Mercedes sports - I've been too nasty, or is it that Santa can't get it down the wood stove chimney?

smithy, everyday i want to leave, and i tell my friends i will...but..after saying this, i probably wont, sometimes there is something posted that i just CAN NOT resist answering! But i gotta say, apart from posting tons of youtube clips, i don't really add anything, i just hope that what i do post brings a smile or tear accordingly. You are sweet for saying that, and thank you xx

RE msg 1, daisy dukes | http://is.gd/55TGR | : (...) It seems that whenever a new thread is started, no matter how sweet and gentle it starts out, it always ends up in some kind of brawl... (...)

=> Oh, daisy dukes, you are so right! But who am I to believe? daisy dukes here or daisy dukes on the other board, calling this board pesky and "hehehe etc..."? Or should I upload a screenshot of your text on the other board..?! You've obviously got two faces, daisy dukes. Not nice.

OK then, daisy, your choice, here is what you really think of this C44 board, where you show your second face: | http://is.gd/55UJL |

All this from a man who is perhaps the most spiteful of them all...you say 'Daisy, your choice...' I have to ask, what choice is that? Maybe you should copy and paste the whole thread so that folk can read it in its whole form!

=> Daisy, whatever you say. What is spiteful about writing the truth?! People can read what you say here and what you said there. I've nothing to add. Or do you deny you called C44 a "damned pesky board"?!

Well I thought that DD's message on the other board was tongue in cheek. Maybe it's the old English sense of humour that has foiled you Dutch. In my opinion calling this board "damned pesky" is just a joke. That's the way I read it anyway.

DC...i do not deny ANYTHING i have said. Also i believe your argument is incredbly thin...pray tell what is your point? I started this thread because i think that this site is way too volatile to be helpfull (atm)...therefore whatever i 'may' have said i'm quite sure it is relevant! And for all those folk that know me, 'tongue in cheek' is my sense of humor..i neither attack nor degrade anyones opinion without just cause, unlike you, who seems to find pleasure in degrading someone for no other excuse but their spelling!

I do believe my point in this matter has been made, and i shall endevour to do no more postings...if nothing but to piss you off...although i regretfully say, that i doubt i will be able to keep this....!!

RE msg 15, daisy dukes: (...) degrading someone for no other excuse but their spelling! (...)

=> Tsk! "someone/their"..?! (Not about spelling and tongue in cheek, of course... and in the spirit of the old English sense of humour ). When was the last time I wrote something about spelling, daisy? Five, six, seven or 12 months ago?

Daisy. You will get contradictions wherever you post - be it 44 or anywhere else. You have to

move on. At the end of the day it's an Internet forum, most people on this and other forims have never met each other and probably never will. Let it go over your head - why worry?

Thank you, Newscoop. BMW needs TLC, and I have ALWAYS dreamed of one of thoseMercedes sports. You may well ask why I didn't get one here. Well, when I was looking they were all left hand drive, and I think they are dangerous, but I still dream of a R.H.D one in bright yellow! Also one thing i never knew, BMW's are rear wheel drive and I hate them. But my husband was generous, so I shouldn't moan. Am waiting for a Lotto win to have the body work done.

But you have a valid point! And how observant of you!

Smity - have to agree wholeheartedly..... no matter what the subject, there's usually one (and often the same one) who feels the need to interject with some inane and ridiculous remark. It does get tiresome.
