I would really appreciate an update on progress on site from any of the Troy Lakers, or anyone who has been viewing property in Bogaz with them recently. This would be a great help to me as I don't get any information from them directly, as they see my villa as "completed", and it is always useful to hear the views of the other members on progress, rather than the Company line. Thanks all Lady P

Lady Penelope, I had a call from the sales director Raif Hassan last week. I had some concerns that needed answering and I got honest answers to all. The new contractors are to be getting the project back on track and we are to be advised of the new completion dates etc soon. The houses for land ownership rumours are just rumours. Troy Lake are the owners of the land. I have also spoken to Patrica who has recently returned from the complex and she is of the opinion things will be getting better. Must admit we can not wait to move in! We are going over at the end of the month for a 12 day stay in a villa (gratis) on Othello I. LP are you living in the "completed" villa ? if any snagging works have been completed then what is the problem, your message is very vague. You can contact me on my e-mail address if you do not want to put it on the board. Troy Lake have had some bad press of late and I am sure the company's intentions are good, they are still trading and trying to work through the diffficulties they have had. Also unlike a lot of others they have not "taken the money and run" Two sides to every story! Tiggo

Tiggy.I am intrigued at Raif confirming to you last week "The new contractors are to be getting the project back on track" I spoke to representative at Candemir Contruction 2 maybe 3 Fridays ago and they said their appointment was not confirmed as their contract had not been agreed yet due to the fact they had not been able to agree on a pricing for the workers. Maybe, the tide is turning and their negotiations have been successful and the appointment of an honest hardworking workforce will see us all in our villas......sooner than we think.

Tiggy this, and Tiggy that.....hey don't shoot the messenger here. We are over in Cyprus saturday week and will see what is going on. I will keep my typing fingers silent from now on. Anyone wanting to know any info then contact troy Lake. Maybe Dozey you can contact Candemir again and give us all the recent news on contracts and start dateds,as your news is two to three weeks old. I like others would like to have a completed Villa sooner rather than later. Good luck to all of us. Over and Out. T.

Tiggy My intention is not to offend you as a fellow buyer and I do apologize if I have.By comparing information we have all gathered and put it together (much like a puzzle) I was hopefull we would be able to ascertain the real situation for everyone. I see these Forums as a great way of doing this. I was looking forward to hearing about your trip so please don't keep your "fingers silent" on the matter. Have a lovely holiday.

Hello Tiggy, Simbas and everyone. I have only just found this thread. Our villa is to be plot 29 on Othello 1. Our main concern is that the property has not been registered in our names even though we have paid 90% of our money. We went over to the site in February and were told that the villa would be ready this summer, maybe late summer. Our main concern is that after reading all the other messages on these forums, and some of the personal e-mails I have received, whether we are being told the truth. My gut feeling is that troylake have experienced difficulties but that they are trying to put things right. If they could be honest and explain to purchasers exactly what the problems are, it would take away a lot of the stress and pressures put on us. Has anyone else been told that their property cannot be registered because of the new estate agents laws, even though they have paid their stamp duty? Hope we'll all meet when the developments are finished so that we can all raise a glass.

Very strange that you can't register your property. Thought that was what the new estate agents law was all about, registering it? The only people that have been unable to register are those that found there was a mortgage on their land. I would ask why you can't do this and from someone other than your builder, estate agent or advocate.
