"Travel Alert: Duty Free from Ercan- Warning!
If you travel on Turkish Airlines from Ercan, on a flight where you are required to leave the aircraft in Turkey, duty free purchases from Ercan are being confiscated on disembarking in Turkey!
If you are on a flight where you don't leave the aircraft in Turkey, you will not be affected." |

| Dusterbruce - as someone has said, this topic was discussed on here a little while ago, and yes, I believe it's a security thing, no liquids can be taken through, as in other airports. I don't think it's a "duty free" confiscation issue.

Nice to know that you are looking at BRS and by introducing the subject have made it clear at this festive time when many of us would be buying duty free's
