Just up the road from me, a little stray dog has given birth, probably about 4 weeks ago. I first saw 3 puppies, but now there are 2. They are next to a work-mans hut, and they have built her a bit of a shelter, and I've seen a container on the floor for water so they obviously have some sympathy for them. But being bayram they haven't been there, so I've bought some food today and these 2 tiny little things couldn't eat it quick enough. One of them then went back to a bone, to presumably suck on, as I doubt if it can do much else, which was covered in flies. What's the best thing to do here? Sorry, but before anyone asks, I can't take them in. I'm prepared to buy the food for the workmen to feed them but I know that's not the best solution. Is there any point in phoning K.A.R.?

There is no point phoning KAR they are full. Do what you are doing. Hopefully the workmen will have big hearts. Even if KAR took them which they wont they would in all probability end up with parvio virus and be dead soon anyway. So sad xxx

I would contact KAR to make them aware, if they are all alone KAR will make a visit and assess the situation as puppies can't take care of themselves so fall into KARs vulnerable category. Well done for feeding and caring about them.

Good news, I called KAR yesterday and Margaret has just phoned to say she has picked them all up. The poor little mites were covered in fleas and bites, flies were really bugging them, and mum wouldn't let them feed yesterday she was starving. I'm so pleased.
