There was talk at some time of G.A.U. offering Spanish lessons. Why not get in touch with them (if you can get someone who speaks English) - they just might have some classes. Otherwise, I don't know of anywhere.

I could ask my Spanish friend if she was prepared to help you if you like. She lives in Catalkoy.

Hi all, the answer to your prayers is here, because I AM THE TEACHER OF SPANISH IN GAU In fact, I am a Spaniard from Barcelona, I mean, I'm a native speaker. The new course at GAU just started (beginner's level), you can catch it if you already know some Spanish (this is our third week). Or, I can offer private lesson if you prefer it. Because I'm new on this forum, I cannot still see your e-mail addresses, so if somebody is interested, please contact me Best, Albert PS: Panchocat, who is your Spanish friend in Çatalköy? I would like to meet her PS2: From now on, no more jokes about Spaniards and about Barça ¡Viva Barcelona!

Hi Albert 5 as far as the Spanish High commission was concerned she was the only Spanish national in TRNC and a Spanish TV company recently spent the day with her to make a programme, to be shown in Spain, about her life here. I will mention you to her but your e mail or phone number would be useful.

That's nice, the TV show, I would like to watch it. If she is the only one here apart from me, I heard about her before. I think she is from Madrid but was some time living in Barcelona. And she's married with a Turkish-Cypriot. Well, I guess it's the same person. Daisy Dukes is right that not everybody knows how to teach his own language, but that's not my case. Before Turkish people, I taught to British and French students, and I myself speak several languages, so I know the process of learning from both sides. Anyway, now Rowan has this information, so she has more elements to decide what is better for her. On the other hand, I hope to meet the Spaniard friend soon in some match Real Madrid - Barcelona
